  • Shakea Miller is a dynamic business leader, educator, and community advocate dedicated to empowering individuals through education, workforce development, and service. She is the Founder of Fight for Our Children Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on supporting education, innovation, and opportunities for youth and families.

    Beyond her nonprofit work, Shakea serves as the Founder, CEO, and Dean of 1 on 1 Technical College and 1 on 1 Technical & Theological College—the first degree-granting institution in Alabama founded by an African American woman. She also leads 1 on 1 Staffing Agency and 1 on 1 Wellness Clinic, both of which promote job readiness, healthcare access, and community well-being.

    In addition to her professional achievements, Shakea is deeply involved in community leadership. She serves as the 2nd Vice President of the NAACP (local chapter), Vice Chair for Women in NAACP (WIN), Policy & Procedures Chair for the Urban League of the River Valley Young Professionals, and Partner in Education Chair for the Junior League. Her outstanding service has earned her multiple honors, including proclamations from Alabama mayors and the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden.
